She successfully led multiple teams, contributing significantly to the business’s growth in the US market.

Before her role in Charlotte, Dias was involved in new business development and fostering innovation in the Canadian market while working for SCOR in Toronto. Her industry experience spans various actuarial positions globally, including in Canada, the US, and Asia, with renowned names like John Hancock and Manulife.

“I am beyond thrilled to join the world-class team at Somerset,” Dias said. “They have laid a strong foundation with their multi-faceted platform and reinsurance expertise to be able to solve clients’ challenges in unique and meaningful ways. I look forward to building on the recent growth and success of the organization and serving insurance partners worldwide.”

Based in Bermuda, Dias will report directly to Jeff Burt, chairman and chief executive officer of Somerset.
